Hi. My name is Darcy Salumu. I am from Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo. I am a third year Accounting student, an online fitness trainer, Instagram influencer and fitness model. I do online fitness training where I offer workout plans, diet plans and suggest what supplements to take. As a fitness model, currently I am working with local clothing brands to help them take professional pictures and marketing. I am excited to interact with Africa and empowering young people to take control of their physical and mental well-being as the part of the #YouthKeStarring campaign.
Hi. My name is Nontobeko Zanele Phakathi. I was born and bred in Soweto, South Africa. I am a second year Information Technology (B.IT) student, a photographic model, a ramp model, pageant princess and a commercial actress. In 2019 I was part of the Miss South Africa pageant where I qualified as one of the top finalists. I am also big on giving back to the community and passionate about youth empowerment. This passion fueled me to start my own NPO called ZA Power house where we work to empower the youth through mentorship, grooming and skills development. Being the brand ambassador for the #YouthKeStarring is such a beautiful opportunity for me as I get to fully interact with Africa in a way that impacts young people.

I am an LLB student, entrepreneur, financial officer, public speaker, social activist, freelance actor and model. I am a volunteer at heart as I always seek for opportunities to make a change where I can, especially in organizations dealing with gender based issues and youth empowerment. I am involved in initiatives that aim to fight against gender based violence and aim to achieve gender equity. As a brand ambassador for the #YouthKeStarring campaign, it is my duty to empower my fellow young people.
Hi. My name is Kirsten Du Pont. I am from Manzini, a town in Swaziland. I am a Bachelors in Education Honours Lower Primary and Preprimary education graduate. I am a passionately driven educator who aspires to make a change in the world. I seek to empower the youth and help them break free from the norms of society and begin to think beyond the borders with no limits, enhance their creativity, do what makes them feel more alive and most importantly cultivate self-awareness within themselves. I am a firm activist against femicide and rape. I am also involved in mental health awareness initiatives. #YouthKeStarring has created a platform that allows me as a brand ambassador to fully engage and empower the youth on a holistic level.

My name is Vhahangwele Tsotetsi, best known as Jamal. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Relations that I acquired from the University of Johannesburg. I am a firm believer and vocal about human development and changing lives at large. I’m currently building a portfolio in Politics as I aspire to become one of the youngest United Nations Secretary General. Outside Politics, I mostly spend my time watching soccer and socializing with new people, and engaging in adventurous activities.
